On any given day clients can be immersed in invigorating discussions of all types, watching a wide assortment of videos, listening to great music or just collecting their thoughts. Clients frequently come by when they don't have appointments just to soak up the energy and get some peace of mind.
Kimberly realized after working in various salons that you must require a high level of professionalism from staff. There is a positive tone here. Another difference between Oxsun and other salons is I absolutely do not overbook. This way my clients know their time is their time.

We've lost our patience and become instant people. We want everything right now- in a hurry. I want my customers to feel relaxed and comfortable about themselves. Clients should feel like they can take their shoes off if they want to.
There is a first time consultation. This can take anywhere from 15-25 minutes. We get a feel for what the person is looking for. What do they expect? Why are they doing this? Why do they want to go natural? If they are totally new to the natural world, then I provide them with some education about what to expect. For example, it takes longer than other styles. Some people think that because they stop using chemicals that their hair is going to be maintenance free. We also do a patch and/or strand test if the client is interested in haircolor. Oxsun offers a variety of transitional hairstyles, everyone is not ready or simply do not choose to lock their hair. Lock styling can have a variety of choices such as curling, crimping, up-dos etc.
